About Us ...
When it comes to Kent - and all things Kentish - our members feel a sense of pride, loyalty,
protectiveness, community and co-operation.  Many other 'senses' come to mind but in essence
we are a family of 'friends of Kent' and 'all things Kentish'
No matter what your age, background, creed, colour, orientation or whatever (frankly),
if you feel a sense of pride in this wonderful county of ours, and would like to play an
important part in preserving its history, traditions and culture, as well as its future, you
    will be warmly welcomed
Loyal, True, Faithful, Protective, Nurturing and above all Proud
We are an inclusive association of true friends of Kent and all things Kentish
We have a history of in excess of 100 years and well over 2000 members countywide.
At County level we seek to involve ourselves in and influence decisions on matters of concern to
the county.
At branch level we offer members a programme of meetings and events which reflect life and
activities taking place in Kent.  Walks, illustrated talks, excursions, guided tours, dinners, dances,
holidays, visits to places of interest, competitive bat & trap and golf days, including the 'Sunley
Trophy' competition, quizz nights, not to mention the duck races!
In fact you name it and one of our branches is probably doing it!
     Kent Magazine
We publish "Kent" magazine, on a regular basis throughout the year and all members
receive a copy by mail.  Many articles from the magazine are available on this site and our
previous website for download or on line viewing.
We also publish articles from other Kent groups that we think will be of interest.
Please visit our library for more information.
